The Leeds-Liverpool canal runs through Skipton providing some very pleasant walks along the canal side.
Skipton's main street has many old buildings and on most days the street is covered by lively and colourful market stalls selling local produce. This is a bustling town, full of activity and things to do.
Just north of the high street is Skipton's 14th century castle which is very popular with visitors to the area.
Nearby, the village of Embsay has a Steam Railway. Try ballooning with Airborne Adventures.
