Places to Visit

Settle

Settle is perhaps best known for the Settle to Carlisle railway, which crosses the most rugged dales lands, a major feature of which is the Ribble Head Viaduct. This is a real train journey - by steam train.

You'll need a drink and something to eat after that, and Settle is a useful place in which to take sustenance - good Yorkshire beer from neighbouring Skipton and Keithley combined with a traditional Yorkshire Pudding. Things don't get much better than this.
