Kettlewell nestles in the meandering turns of the River Wharfe in Upper Wharfedale. A typical dales village where most buildings are made from Yorkshire stone and date back to the 17th or 18th centuries. The village has several bridges crossing rivers and streams which give it a very rural character.
There are lots of walks in the Kettlewell area either on the fells or along the rivers and streams. Enjoy the glistening of the water, and the clearness of the air.
There are tea shops and a lovely village shop along with two pubs, so there's plenty to revive you after a long walk on the fells.
